Two grant-backed projects have expanded how B Pack Kft. processes plastic waste and produces regranulate.

KKV START INNOVÁCIÓ

Turning mixed-layer thermoplastic film waste into regranulate, with upgraded processing technology and preparation for Industry 4.0.

Project implemented from the NKFI Fund mark.

Funding from the National Research, Development and Innovation Fund, awarded through the Ministry for Innovation and Technology, allowed us to develop our plastics processing further.

The project brings modern processing to multi-layer plastics — keeping more waste out of landfill and returning more material to usable raw-material streams.

First milestone

The first step was sorting at source: mapping and listing the materials inside each bale, then re-baling materials of the same type and layer structure ready for processing.

Expanding the machine park to process more plastic waste, with a WAGNER WS 22 Shredder unit.

B Pack Kft. applied in 2017 and won Ministry of Finance support in 2018 to purchase plastic raw-material production equipment.

The WAGNER WS 22 Shredder widens the range of plastics we can accept and process, raises production volume, and supports our move towards the automotive industry.

The new equipment sped up plastics processing and helps the industry operate with a smaller waste footprint.
